Parades

Parades are popular community events in Park Ridge and everyone is welcome to attend.

Norweigan Constitution Day Parade

Sponsored by the Norwegian National League, the parade will include local marching bands, folk dancers, singers and various Scandinavian groups in national costumes. 

 

Memorial Day Parade

Sponsored by the local VFW, this annual event is held on Memorial Day.  The parade steps off at 10 a.m. in South Park (Talcott  Road & Cumberland Avenue) and ends in front of City Hall.

 

4th of July Kiddie Day Parade

A tradition for more than 40 years, children of all ages are invited to dress up and decorate their bikes and wagons for this annaul event sponsored by the Park Ridge Kiwanis - Noon Club.

 

Homecoming Parades

Both Maine South and Maine East High Schools hold a parade each fall before the annual Homecoming Game.  Current students, parents, alums and local residents turn out for these popular fall events.
