Breast Cancer Charity Walk Set for May 4

April 15, 2013 02:56 PM
Help fight breast cancer by taking part in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Park Ridge on Saturday, May 4. The event allows communities to honor breast cancer survivors, as well as raise awareness and funds for research and outreach to needy women.
Since 1993, eight million walkers across the country have raised more than $460 million through Making Strides events. Last year alone, supporters brought in more than $60 million to the American Cancer Society.
The walk in Park Ridge starts at 8:00 a.m. at Hodges Park, at the intersection of Prospect, Courtland and Vine.
