Behind Every Great Community is a Great Library

Join the Park Ridge Public Library as we recognize National Library Week (April 12 – 18), an annual celebration of libraries everywhere. This year we’re focusing on the close relationship between Park Ridge residents and the Library with the theme "Behind Every Great Community is a Great Library."

More than a century after its founding, the Library continues to serve Park Ridge in  a variety of ways: providing access to books and other materials in print and digital form, promoting literacy initiatives, hosting informational and cultural programs, and offering crucial resources to individuals, schools, organizations, and businesses. Through the years, the Library has always been a reflection of the vibrant community it serves.

During National Library Week, be sure to stop by and check out our special photo display on the 2nd floor, "Your Community, Your Library, Then and Now," showing library patrons through the years. Starting April 12, we’ll also be offering free magnets with our newly restored library hours!

For more information on what the Library offers, visit www.parkridgelibrary.org. For more information on National Library Week, please call (847)720-3209.
