Park Ridge Park District Centennial Activity Center
100 S. Western Ave.
Park Ridge, IL 60068
Year-round fine arts classes supporting and promoting artists through free professional art exhibitions
Organized in December,1997, the Brickton Art Center is a not-for-profit Illinois Corporation dedicated to the education enhancement and enjoyment of the arts by all people.
Prior to 1873 the community of Park Ridge was named Brickton where a large brickmaking facility stood just north of the uptown shopping area. The name Brickton gives a historical perspective as we look toward the future.
Brickton Art Center draws operating funds from memberships, class revenue and contributions from corporations, businesses, individuals and grants. We seek to bring the arts to all citizens to provide thought and dialogue about the arts and to promote exhibition and sales opportunities for artists of all backgrounds.
The Art Center operates with an Executive Director and a Board of Directors. Many volunteer opportunities are available for interested persons. Brickton Art Center is a 501(c)3 organization and all contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by IRS guidelines.
