Maine South Parents' Scholarship Club

Category: Community Organizations, Educational Organizations, Youth Organizations

Maine Township High School South
1111 S. Dee Road
Park Ridge, IL  60068

The Maine South Mothers’ Scholarship Club was originally founded in 1964.  Fathers are much more involved with the raising of their children in today’s world.  In an effort to remain progressive, we are now the Parents’ Scholarship Club.   All parents and guardians are welcome reap the benefits of parent education. We are a non-profit 501-c3 organization whose purpose is to award scholarships to qualifying students in the senior class. Almost $1,000,000 has been distributed to over 1,400 seniors throughout the club’s history.

Our meetings are generally held on the first Wednesday of the month from September through May. Meetings start at 7 pm. Our guest speakers include our Principal, Mr. Messmer,  faculty liasion Dave Berendt, Assistant Principal for Students and Stephanie Maksymiu, the Career and College Counselor.

Scholarship funds are raised through our fall and spring benefits, membership dues, and the generous donations of our local business community, alumni and Maine South parents.
