Park Ridge Presbyterian Church will host a HUGE Fall Rummage Sale from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 10th at the church. Admission is free.

The Abstract Show II - Art Exhibition (9/21-10/19/13) Brickton (10:00 AM - 05:00 PM)
"The Abstract Show II" is a juried, regional art exhibition on display at the Brickton Art Center through October 19, 2013. --- Join us for a reception on September 21, 2013 to meet the artists, enjoy light snacks and see some great abstract artwork!

Power of the Purse (RSVP by 10/4/13) – Mt. Prospect Historical Society (07:00 PM - 09:00 PM)
Reservations are needed by October 4th. ---- The evening, which will begin at 7 p.m., will feature a fun mix of wine, hors d’oeuvres, entertainment and both silent and live auctions to help you pick up some truly unique and entrancing handbags for yourself and others and at the same time support the restoration of the one-room 1896 Central School, located at 103 S. Maple Street on the Museum campus. Tickets, are limited, can be purchased for $10 ea @ the museum or via PayPal at www.mtphist.org
