The pumpkins are coming! Hundreds of pumpkins, gourds and other seasonal items will be on display and available for sale at the 10th annual Youth Pumpkin Patch from October 19-31 at Park Ridge Community Church, on the lawn at the corner of Prospect & Crescent Avenue in the heart of Park Ridge. Hours: weekdays 3:30-7pm, Saturday 9am-7pm, Sunday 11am-7pm. Also featuring live musical entertainment and showings of classic movies -- something for all ages!

Brickton Art Center celebrates Halloween with Boo-Tastic Bash this October! --- Kids looking for a chance to try out their Halloween costume a few days early should make plans to attend the 2nd annual Halloween Brickton Art Center’s Boo-tastic Bash on Sunday, October 20th at the South Park Recreation Center in Park Ridge, 833 Talcott Avenue, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The 22nd annual Niles/Park Ridge CROP Walk for Charity will take place Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 1:30 to 5:00 pm at the churches listed below. CROP stands for Communities Reaching Out to People. CROP Walks are community fundraising events organized by Church World Services. This annual pledge march against world hunger is a fundraiser for Church World Service and our own Maine Township Food Pantry.
