January 20, 2017 is the LAST DAY Park Ridge Public Works (400 Busse Highway) will be collecting WHITE block styrofoam to be recycled. Drop it off between 7am and 3pm and help reduce our community's carbon footprint and keep styrofoam out of landfills. Styrofoam takes 20,000 years to biodegrade. Sorry NO food/beverage containers; NO straws, lids, plastic wrap; NO packing peanuts; NO building insulation/foam of any kind. Questions? Call Mike at 847-318-5243

Global Volunteers is a 32 year old private, apolitical, nonsectarian, non-profit (501C-3) tax-exempt organization (NGO) in special consultative status with the United Nations and UNICEF. Contribute one, two or three weeks to change a child's life - while also exploring a fascinating new culture! 12-time Global Volunteer, Susan Koralik, will share her inspiring volunteer stories and explain what it's like to travel while serving around the world. --- Reservations required due to limited seating.
