January 20, 2017 is the LAST DAY Park Ridge Public Works (400 Busse Highway) will be collecting WHITE block styrofoam to be recycled. Drop it off between 7am and 3pm and help reduce our community's carbon footprint and keep styrofoam out of landfills. Styrofoam takes 20,000 years to biodegrade. Sorry NO food/beverage containers; NO straws, lids, plastic wrap; NO packing peanuts; NO building insulation/foam of any kind. Questions? Call Mike at 847-318-5243

The 21st Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a meeting on Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Avenue in Park Ridge at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served at Noon with a meeting and program to follow. --- Hostesses for the day are: Penny Kerndt, Sharon Bollinger, Liz Greenhill, and Gene Andersen, Chairman.

Food For Thought: The Election, Delegates, Strategies, and Missteps- Wednesday, November, 9, 12:30-2:30pm It just happened! Hear some analysis and talk about the electoral votes. Listen to how the delegate count worked at the conventions. There will also be analysis of the general campaign, what was each campaign's strengths and weaknesses, strategies and missteps.
