MCYAF benefit dinner for the prevention of teen drug and alcohol use. Come celebrate our Community Heroes on Thursday, September 17, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Café la Cave in Des Plaines – Tickets available online through September 15. Early bird tickets $60 // Tickets purchased after 8/16/16 are $70 each -- Table of ten = $500 before 8/16, and $600 after.

Maine Community Youth Assistance Foundation (MCYAF) is pleased to announce its 2016 Community Heroes who will be honored at the MCYAF Community Heroes Benefit Dinner on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Café la Cave at 2777 S. Mannheim Road in Des Plaines.
We will be honoring the following 2016 Community Heroes for their dedication and passion in serving the youth of our community:

Cindy Schneider - MCYAF Volunteer and Maine South Parent

Do or Dye Salon - Julie Fowler Kelley, Anne Mannix and Peggy Graziano and staff - MCYAF Volunteers

Kiwanis - Longtime MCYAF Supporters - Park Ridge AM , Noon and Des Plaines Kiwanis Community Organizations

Presence Health - MCYAF Partner in Choices Program for Middle School and Community Projects
Awardees were nominated by members of the community and confirmed by the MCYAF Board of Directors and have contributed in different ways showing extreme commitment to keeping teens healthy and safe and away from the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
Congratulations to all these wonderful people! We are lucky to have them in our community!
Tickets are $60 per person (adults only) before August 16, 2016 and $70 after 8/16/2016.
Tables will be $500 for a table of 10 before August 16, 2016 and $600 after 8/16/2016.
There will be a silent auction and cash bar.
Entertainment will be provided by the very funny Derek Lengwenus.
A delicious Cafe la Cave dinner will consist of:
· Salad: Bouquet of Mixed Greens with Asian Cucumber with Raspberry Vinaigrette
· Entree: Duo of Chicken a La Cave twin breast of chicken one with white sherry cream sauce wild mushrooms and shallots and the other with Madeira wine sauce and Shiitake mushrooms Fettuccini with Pesto Cream and Fresh Tomato
· Vegetarian option: Grilled Vegeatables en croute: Marinated Seasonal vegetables grilled and baked in a flakey puff pastry on tomato sauce
· Dessert: Gourmet Ice Cream in Chocolate Wafer Cup and Occasion Cake Coffee and a Cash Bar Available
All funds raised go to programs for the prevention of adolescent drug and alcohol abuse for our teens in Maine Township.
