The Harry O'Brien Multi-Community Run/Walk is sponsored by the Park Ridge Community Fund and the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce. Proceeds are used to help those in need in our community through the agencies supported by the Park Ridge Community Fund. Harry O’Brien was often fondly referred to as "Mr. Park Ridge". He served the community as Executive Director of the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce for twenty-five years and was a resident of the community for almost twice as long. Harry put his whole heart and soul into our community, infusing it with energy and enthusiasm that will be difficult to rival. Although he will be sorely missed, this event will help continue his legacy of community spirit. Harry spent his life organizing events and festivals so that businesses and residents would be able to come together to have fun. Harry knew how to enjoy life and with a mere smile you knew you knew you were welcome to enjoy it with him.
