There is no need for a reservation and the event is free and open to sewers and non-sewers alike.
People come whenever they can during the day to cut squares, sew, make no-sew fleece blankets or tie and finish blankets.
Join us in making blankets for the homeless. Bring your own 4 yards of fleece and scissors if you don't sew -- If you sew, bring your machine and we'll provide the material! If you can donate material we need fleece (in 2" x 4" pieces if possible).
The beauty of this event has been how the generations come together and work on making blankets together. This is a great activity for everyone: families, Girl Scout and Boy Scout groups, Teen Groups, Women's Clubs, etc. All community members are invited to bring their family and friends, their sewing machines if they have one, and fleece material to make blankets.
Free refreshments are served for participants courtesy of MSW Council of Catholic Women.
