Bullied No More: A Conversation with Jarrett Payton & Camille Paddock
Wednesday, March 12, 2014 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm

Jarrett Payton, son of Chicago Bears running back Walter Payton, will discuss the dynamics of bullying and encourage students to find common ground with classmates and respect each other's differences. Jarrett will highlight the role of bystanders and challenge young people to speak out when they see bullying occur. All forms of bullying will be addressed, including cyberbullying. Jarrett will also share his own experiences with bullying during high school.

Jarrett will be joined by Camille Paddock, a 15-year-old who was bullied to the point of almost ending her life, who will share her personal story of triumph over bullying. Cam was ruthlessly bullied starting at age 9. Eventually she withdrew from life and wanted to die to escape the pain. Instead of remaining a victim, Cam took a stand against bullying and started her own anti-bullying organization and has spread her message of hope to thousands.
