Please join us for our Summer 2018 Concerts in the Park – the 58th year that the Park Ridge Fine Arts Symphony (PRFAS) has presented this wonderful summertime musical experience!! There will be FIVE Concerts presented from June 15 through July 27.

Please join us for our Summer 2018 Concerts in the Park – Thanks to your patronage, this is the 58th year that the Park Ridge Fine Arts Symphony (PRFAS) has presented this wonderful summertime musical experience!!

Please join us for the Park Ridge Fine Arts Symphony's (PRFAS) Summer Concerts in the Park with Barbara Schubert, Music Director and Conductor  The Park Ridge Fine Arts Symphony is a 50-piece ensemble of the finest free-lance professional musicians in the Chicago area.

All concerts are at 8:00 pm in Hodges Park in front of Park Ridge City Hall

  • Friday, June 15– Second Hand Soul
  • Sponsored by the Park District as a part of the 2018 season of Concerts in the Park.
  • Friday, June 22 – Beethoven and Beyond
  • Beethoven’s exhilarating Symphony No. 7 in A Major and Dvorák’s charming Czech Suite open the Park Ridge Fine Arts Symphony’s 2018 season of Concerts in the Park.
  • Friday, June 29  –  American the Beautiful
  • Celebrate the magnificent landscape of American with Grofé’s Grand Canyon Suite and works by Aaron Copland and Richard Rodgers.
  • Friday, July 6 – Spanish Soundscape
  • Enjoy a "virtual visit" to Sunny Spain through the music of Bizet, Massenet, Fauré, and Rimsky-­ Korsakov, with his colorful Capriccio Espagnol.
  • Friday, July 13 – Taste of Tchaikovsky
  • Selections from Tchaikovsky’s exquisite ballet scores, plus his masterful Symphony No. 5 in E minor.
  • Friday, July 20 – Broadway’s Best
  • Familiar medleys from classic Broadway shows, plus highlights from Hamilton, Chicago, and other recent Broadway hits.
  • Friday, July 27 – A Tribute to Benny Goodman, the King of Swing
  • Bonus Concert sponsored by the Brian Patti Big Band – Brian Patti, Band Leader
    Legendary jazz clarinetist and band leader Benny Goodman had an indelible impact on music history, ushering in the swing era of the 1930’s with an array of memorable tunes.
  • Friday, August 3 – Tino & the Latin Swing
  • Sponsored by the Park District as a part of the 2018 season of Concerts in the Park.
***Park Ridge Park District will be selling food for the convenience of our patrons and families. Pizza, hot dogs, drinks from vending truck. You can buy something in the park, take a break from cooking and just enjoy the evening.
You can help support the concerts. Join us for our Fundraiser Dinner-dance or make a donation. You can mail a check to our PO Box or make a donation online.
