The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a meeting on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Club Casa located at 353 North River Road in Des Plaines at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served at 12:00 p.m. with a meeting and program to follow.
Chapter Regent, Kathryn Murray, is pleased to have Mrs. Sheila Duda, present a program entitled, "Tea Party". In 2008 Sheila and Frank Duda founded the popular business, TeaLula, located at 11 S. Fairview in Park Ridge. Sheila is an expert concerning the history, varieties, and preparation methods for specialty teas.
The Twenty-first Star Chapter NSDAR serves the Park Ridge, Niles, Des Plaines, and Morton Grove areas. Women who are interested in DAR membership should know that any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal decent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership. The DAR recognizes "Patriots: as not only soldiers but also anyone who contributed to the cause of American freedom."
