The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a meeting on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Avenue in Park Ridge, at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served at noon, with a meeting and program to follow.
Chapter Regent, Kathryn Murray, is pleased to have Maria Hrycelak present a program entitled, "The Sprite by Alfonso Iannelli". Maria is a board member of the Kalo Foundation established in 2006.
It is a nonprofit organization housed in the former workshop of famed sculptor, Alfonso Iannelli. The Kalo Foundation is dedicated to preserving the rich artistic legacy of Park Ridge.
The Twenty-first Star Chapter NSDAR serves the Park Ridge, Niles, Des Plaines, and Morton Grove areas. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal decent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
The DAR recognizes, "Patriots: as not only soldiers but also anyone who contributed to the cause of American freedom." Women who are interested in DAR membership should contact Second Vice Regent, Dorothy Wilson at (847) 328-6946 for further details.
