The Retail Committee of the Park Ridge Chamber of Commerce announces First Fridays Park Ridge, a series of local events to provide an evening of art, music, shopping and dining for area residents.
Local merchants are staying open late and will host artists in their stores. Many area restaurants are offering specials. Activities are planned for Uptown and South Park area shops and restaurants.
"We wanted to put together an event that would be fun for the residents and encourage everyone to get out with their family and friends to enjoy our town," said Sheila Duda, Retail Committee Chairman and owner of TeaLula. "Plus, it is a great way to feature our local retailers and encourage everyone to Shop Local."
Upcoming 2012 First Fridays themes include Sounds of Summer on June 1, Cruisin’ Park Ridge on July 6, Amazing Race on August 3. The events will continue through November.
