Learn by Watching Speech Competition - Park Ridge Toastmasters

Interested in learning good speaking techniques? Come watch Park Ridge Toastmasters club members compete in 2 different speech contests on Feb. 13. from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm sharp on the first floor of The United Methodist Church in Park Ridge. Admission is free

The first contest, Table Topics, is an impromptu speaking contest. The contestants will not know the topic until they are called to speak.
In the second, International Speech contest, contestants will present 5-7 minutes on any topic.
The winner will compete at the next Toastmasters level, with the chance to eventually compete for the World Championship 2014 in Malaysia this summer.
The contest event will begin at 7:30 pm on the first floor of the First United Methodist Church at 418 W. Touhy Ave. in Park Ridge, near the intersection of Prospect St. and Northwest Hwy. The entrance is one block north on Grant Pl., just east of Prospect, with a free parking in the church lot across the street.
Learn and be entertained simultaneously! Attendance is free. All are welcome.

Guests are welcome to observe a Toastmasters meeting. A member club of Toastmasters International, Park Ridge Toastmasters is a club dedicated to improving the communications and leadership skills of members at all levels. This includes both prepared and impromptu public speaking skills. Leadership skills include the practical communication, organization and strategic skills useful for effective leadership.
