A worship service of hope, strength and community. Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. Join in prayer and song, hear scripture and a story about finding your place in the world. God’s Word comes to shine light into the darkness of the longest night. --- Everyone is welcome.
In the gathering darkness of December, we anticipate the coming again of the light of the world. This service aims to acknowledge the darkness, those things which we would rather not see in this holiday season— homelessness, violence, poverty― but also offers the time in a busy season to sit in silence and meditate with thanksgiving and hopefulness. As days grow shorter, we approach the longest night.
For these reasons, St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, together with Edison Park Lutheran Church and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, offer a special Longest Night Service on December 21st at 7 p.m.
Join in prayer and song, hear scripture and a story about finding your place in the world. God’s Word comes to shine light into the darkness of the longest night.
Everyone is welcome.
