Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walks unite communities behind the American Cancer Society's efforts to save lives from breast cancer.
The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk of Park Ridge is an annual, non-competitive, fundraising event to raise awareness and funds to benefit American Cancer Society patient service programs, education and prevention efforts, and life-saving breast cancer research.
Check-in starting at 7:30AM: Sign up online for easy check-in the day of the walk. All event participants, including children, need to register for the walk. If you do not register online prior to the event, please visit the check-in area upon arrival.
Opening Ceremony at 8:30AM: Come together with survivors, caregivers, men and women from all walks of life who are passionate about saving lives from breast cancer. Celebrate your shared efforts. Inspire each other to carry on. And take comfort in the knowledge that because of your dedication, no one walks alone.
Walk Begins at 9:00AM: We all walk together, but our event is not a race. Stop whenever you want or need to. You absolutely do not need to complete the entire walk if you are unable. The walk concludes when the final walker crosses the finish line.
The Making Strides against Breast Cancer of Park Ridge is thrilled to continue the Garden of Hope for the second year! The garden will be in the grass near the Survivor Tent and will symbolize the hope and perseverance with which we all continue to fight. The donation amount for 1 Pinwheel Flower is $10.
