The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a meeting on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at the Paula Hassell O’Connor Building, 733 N. Prospect Avenue in Park Ridge at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served at 12:00 p.m. with a meeting and program to follow.
Chapter Regent, Kathryn Murray, is pleased to have Illinois State Regent Debra Coe present a program entitled, "My Grandmother’s DAR". The State Regent has selected Wreaths Across America as her project during her two-year term. This project focuses on remembering the 2,500 soldiers buried at the Camp Butler National Cemetery located in Springfield, Illinois.
The Twenty-first Star Chapter NSDAR serves the Park Ridge, Niles, Des Plaines, and Morton Grove areas. Women who are interested in DAR membership should know that any woman eighteen years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal decent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
The DAR recognizes "Patriots: as not only soldiers but also anyone who contributed to the cause of American freedom.
