Overall Info:
Bags tournament will be run Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 from 6:00 to 10:00 pm both nights.
6:00 to 8:00 pm is the Middle School Tournament (6th–8th grades)
8:00 to 10:00 pm is the High School Tournament (focusing on 9th –12th grades, but we won't turn away 18–20 year old people who want to participate)
Location is the north side of the lawn next to the Park Ridge Library (at Touhy and Prospect Avenues).
Other logistics:
There is no pre-registration so teams can sign up to play on a first come first serve basis day of the event. If there are teams who don't get to play Friday night, they can have first dibs to play Saturday night.
Entry fee is $5 per team of 2 players ($2.50 a person).
We are running a 16 team, single elimination bracket tournament for each age bracket: middle and high school
Teams will play to 21 points OR 20 minutes per round, whichever comes first (since the total time for each tournament is 2 hours, games have to move quickly).
There will be prizes given to each member of the 1st and 2nd place teams of each middle school and high school tournament.
The theme for the event is: "Most Maine Township teens are above the influence of alcohol and other drugs" carrying the message we have in the high schools throughout the year that most Maine Township are alcohol and drug free.
