This concert is open to the public and will feature sacred and secular works based on the theme "The World That Is To Be: Songs of Life, Hope, and Love". The concert will feature a variety of sacred and secular music, including pieces by Telemann, Monteverdi, Copland, Sondheim, and Leonard Cohen; hymns and spiritual songs from America, Korea, Serbia, Germany, and the Bahamas; plus premieres of new works by Jake Runestad and the choir’s director, Zebulon Highben.
The concert is free and open to the public, though a free-will offering will be collected.
Muskingum University, in New Concord, Ohio, is a four-year liberal arts college affiliated with the Presbyterian Church – USA.
