A parade celebrating Norwegian Constitution Day featuring Scandinavian organizations with members in traditional costumes along with marching bands, antique cars and floats. ---- Festivities begin in Hodges Park prior to the beginning of the parade. --- The PARADE starts at South Park at Cumberland and Talcott and marches north ON Cumberland from South Park to Park Ridge City Hall. --- This event is sponsored by the Norwegian National League www.nnleague.org
Celebrate Norway's Constitution Day with a parade sponsored by the Norwegian National League of Chicago from Noon to 4:00 pm. on Sunday, May 19, 2019 in Park Ridge.
Pre-parade festivities in Hodges Park beginning at 12:00 PM will include entertainment, vendors, refreshments and activities for children. The festivities in Hodges Park conclude at 4:00 pm. Enjoy refreshments, activities for children, Scandinavian vendors and displays and entertainment.
Parade steps off at 1:00 PM at Talcott & Cumberland --- The PARADE starts at South Park at Cumberland and Talcott and marches north ON Cumberland from South Park to Park Ridge City Hall.
This event is sponsored by the Norwegian National League and there is a lot of information on their web page at www.nnleague.org
The parade will feature many Scandinavian social, church and civic organizations with members wearing traditional costumes, along with floats, local marching bands, singing societies, folk dancers, color guards, and much more.

The League also hosts a banquet in celebration of Norway's Constitution Day. During the ceremonies after the parade, the Norwegian National League awards Scholarships to deserving students (learn more on their Scholarship page).
