The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a meeting on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Avenue in Park Ridge at 11:30 a.m.
Chapter Regent, Kathryn Murry, is pleased to have Emma Marston present a program entitled, "Historic Des Plaines Cemeteries". Emma Marston has a Masters in Museum Studies and is the Interpretive Curator for the Des Plaines History Center. Recently, she presented a program for children at the center concerning the courageous role of spies during the Revolutionary War.
The Twenty-first Star Chapter NSDAR serves the Park Ridge, Niles, Des Plaines, and Morton Grove areas. Any woman 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal decent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership. The DAR recognizes, "Patriots: as not only soldiers but also anyone who contributed to the cause of American freedom."
