Mozart: Eine Kleine Nachtmusik (Serenade, K. 525) – Allegro Mozart: Concerto in G for Flute and Orchestra, K. 313 – Allegro Mahler: Symphony No. 5 ∞∞∞
The PRCO performs the symphony on May 6th at the Pickwick Theatre in its festive finale concert to the orchestra’s 21st season. Two Mozart works, the Allegro movements of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik and the Flute Concerto in G, open the program.
A complimentary wine reception for audience and musicians follows the concert.
The public is invited to attend the lecture on May 3rd at the Iannelli Studios Heritage Center of Park Ridge, and the concert on May 6th at the historic Pickwick Theatre in Uptown Park Ridge.
Reduced ticket prices for seniors, free admission for ages 18 and under, CTA/Metra within one block, multiple restaurants nearby, and free parking are among the amenities included in the PRCO experience.

FREE LECTURE ON MAHLER AT IANNELLI STUDIO Victor Muenzer to Speak in Artful Setting Music Director Victor Muenzer will present a talk on Gustav Mahler and the composer’s Fifth Symphony on Sunday, May 3rd at the Iannelli Studios Heritage Center in Park Ridge. The lecture will appeal to patrons who want to learn more about the piece in advance of the performance, and to anyone interested in classical music.
Muenzer leads the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra (PRCO) in its first performance of Mahler Symphony No. 5 on May 6th at the Pickwick Theatre.

A fitting location for the musical talk (Mahler and Iannelli were both born in the later 19th century), the Iannelli Studios Heritage Center houses a sizable collection of the artist’s works at the historical landmark site that is maintained and operated by the Kalo Foundation, a group that works to preserve the artistic legacy of Park Ridge.
