Park Ridge Farmers' Market 2016 (May 28 to Oct. 29)

LOCATION: parking lot at Prairie & Garden, which is just south of Touhy & east of Cumberland Avenues
Park Ridge, IL , 60068

The Farmer's Market will be held every Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. from May 28 to October 29, 2016 AT: Prairie and Garden, which is just south of the Metra train tracks and Touhy, and east of Cumberland Avenues. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Park Ridge Farmers’ Market features fresh seasonal produce, interesting packaged goods, Sprouts Kids Tent activities and live music. Now accepting SNAP and Illinois Link cards --- New Hope donations welcome --- Volunteers appreciated

Vendors from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin will bring the freshest fruits, vegetables, baked goods, handmade soaps, natural dog treats, honey, and fresh and potted flowers and plants, interesting packaged goods, Sprouts Kids Tent activities and live music to the Park Ridge Farmers' Market.
Now accepting SNAP --- New Hope donations are welcome ---- Accepting Illinois Link Cards
Again this summer there will be free family fun with music and special activities for children. Look for special events and activities throughout the summer.

A few highlights during the upcoming season include:
  • Live music each week around 10 a.m.
  • Fresh fruits, vegetables, baked goods, cheese, flowers, plants and dog treats from Midwest farms and local businesses
  • Giveaways of 25th anniversary commemorative bags during the June 4 market
  • A maker of homemade goat's milk soap once each month
  • A new knife sharpener vendor on the first Saturday of every month
  • Weekly appearances by Park Ridge elected officials or the Police Chief
  • A corn roast on July 30
  • Kid’s Tent activities where children who join the new Sprouts Kids Club will get a free, reusable tote bag and a punch card that will qualify them for a prize after five visits to the Farmers' Market
  • Children’s Halloween Costume event on Ocotber 29
  • Donations of canned goods or Farmer’s Market fresh produce will be accepted at The Market Tent for New Hope Community Food Pantry
For the first time, the Market will accept Illinois Link cards
The PRFM Committee (Park Ridge Farmers' Market) is always looking for new dedicated volunteers!
