An extraordinary collection of new photos by students from Maine East, Maine South and Maine West High Schools on display at Brickton Art Center May 20–May 31
Come to the Brickton Art Center to view a remarkable art exhibit: PhotoVoice
This extraordinary collection of new photos by students from Maine East, Maine South and Maine West High Schools will be on display May 20 through May 31 at the Brickton Art Center.
Experience a unique exhibit of 60 photo-art pieces depicting students’ creative responses to this year’s theme questions: What do you aim for? What's your adrenaline rush? What is your anti-drug? Maine Township High School student artists will be on hand to explain what their pieces mean and describe how their goals and dreams help them avoid drugs and alcohol and remain healthy.
PhotoVoice merges student art and community action, providing a forum for the exchange of ideas between youth, adults, and policy makers.
This project is an opportunity for young artists to be seen and heard by community decision-makers.
Reception and artists’ discussions will be held on May 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
This event is sponsored by MCYAF, Park Ridge Police and Brickton Art Center.
