Spirit of ‘45 -- Display at the Park Ridge Library

During the month of August see how the Library is keeping the Spirit of ’45 alive! Visit our 2nd floor display cases for photos and artifacts of the Douglas Air Plant, the Maine Flyer, and the Park Ridge residents home front relief efforts, and more.

The Library is taking part in the national and international Spirit of ‘45 weekend of August 14–16, during which we will honor the legacy of the World War II generation during that pivotal time in world history.
 
 
The second floor display cases will feature "Park Ridge During World War II" with historical photos, documents, and memorabilia related to the airplane The Maine Flyer, the Douglas Aircraft plant, and the Park Ridge residents’ home front war relief efforts.
 
 
On Thursday, August 6, at 7:00 p.m. the 1949 Classic Film: Twelve O’Clock High will be shown in our first floor meeting room.
