Did you know that styrofoam takes 20,000 years to biodegrade?
Go Green Park Ridge and Park Ridge Public Works will be collecting WHITE block styrofoam between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday, January 4 through 22, 2014
at the Park Ridge Public Works Service Center (400 Busse Highway) to reduce our community's carbon footprint and keep styrofoam out of landfills.
We can only accept white block Styrofoam (no food service/beverage containers or packing peanuts).
The following items WON'T be accepted:
- NO packing peanuts.
- NO straws, lids, plastic wrap, food/beverage containers
- NO foam building insulation
