Celebrate Halloween with the Park District and the Park Ridge Civic Orchestra (PRCO)! Wear your costume and follow the trick-or-treat trail around Hodges Park, where we’ll pass out treats (or tricks!) from the trunks of our festively decorated cars. It’s a fun and safe event that goes beyond trick or treating with games, a pumpkin contest, music, and a parade!
Bring your decorated pumpkin between 5:30pm & 6:00pm and enter it into our pumpkin contest. Winner announced at 6:30pm. This event is free to attend and concludes with a parade to the Pickwick Theatre for the PRCO Halloween concert. Children must be accompanied by an adult to participant in Trunk or Treat. Activities begin at 5:00 p.m. at Hodges Park with a costume parade led by Mayor Dave Schmidt and the Maine South High School drum line preceding the concert. The concert includes classics from Bach on the Pickwick grand organ to songs form Wicked. It’s a show of many surprises, in an unforgettable journey with actors, orchestra and special effects.
