January 20, 2017 is the LAST DAY Park Ridge Public Works (400 Busse Highway) will be collecting WHITE block styrofoam to be recycled. Drop it off between 7am and 3pm and help reduce our community's carbon footprint and keep styrofoam out of landfills. Styrofoam takes 20,000 years to biodegrade. Sorry NO food/beverage containers; NO straws, lids, plastic wrap; NO packing peanuts; NO building insulation/foam of any kind. Questions? Call Mike at 847-318-5243

The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a meeting --“Your Family Heirloom” presented by Carol Gale -- at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Avenue in Park Ridge. --- A luncheon will be served at 12:00 p.m. with a meeting and program to follow.
