Park Ridge Public Works (400 Busse Highway) will be collecting WHITE block styrofoam MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm January 5 - 23, 2014 to reduce our community's carbon footprint and keep styrofoam out of landfills. Did you know that styrofoam takes 20,000 years to biodegrade?

Recycle your old holiday strings of lights now through February 27, 2015 from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday at the Park Ridge Public Works Service Center.

This exhibit of stained glass will at the Iannelli Studios Heritage Center Saturdays 10:00 am to 3:00 pm and Sundays 1:00 to 4:00 pm. The exhibition will run through February 23. Renowned stain glass artist --- Larry Zgoda Larry will be on hand to meet visitors Sunday February 15 from 1:00 to 4:00 pm ---- Close to 100 original pieces of stained glass and original furniture pieces will be on display, as well as for sale. This is a must-see event.

The purpose of this group is to encourage members to write and provide a safe place to read one’s work and get some feedback. We meet the second Tuesday of every month.

The Park Ridge Toastmasters club has been in Park Ridge since June 9, 1949, meeting in the same location at the United Methodist Church, 418 West Touhy. We meet on the first floor and love to have guests visit our club. --- We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from January through October. Due to the Holidays we meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month in November and December.
