The Friends' Spring Book Sale will be held Friday through Sunday on the first full weekend in May. ------------ On FRIDAY, the Sale will be open for Friends of the Library members ONLY. Numbers will be given out beginning at 3:00 pm. DOORS OPEN AT 4:00 PM. Memberships to the Friends of the Library may be purchased at the door. Information on Memberships is available at the Library's Circulation Desk.------------ On SUNDAY, from Noon to 2:00 pm, all items will be half-price.

Spring Concert by the Studio of Rhona Reagen. 40+ musicians aged 4 - 18 perform works by Bach, Brahms, Telemann, Vivaldi, Suzuki, and O'Connor.

The Niles All American Speakers are charter members of Toastmasters International, a club devoted to the refinement of speech, our mission is to make better speakers of everyone.

Jack Diamond will take you back in time for a look at the life and career of Julie London, a torch singer and actress. The presentation features her smokey, sensual voice in her signature song "Cry Me a River".

The First United Methodist Church of Park Ridge (418 Touhy Avenue) will host their 4th annual Plant and Garden Sale on Saturday, May 11th from 8:00 am to 12 Noon featuring seasoned perennials, Mother's Day gifts, and handmade garden gifts. All proceeds benefit youth & mission work.

Come join the American Society of Artists for their annual Arts & Crafts Fair, offering original art and handcrafted items for sale. ----------------------- This year the Arts & Crafts Fair will be held Saturday, May 11, 2013 from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm AND a new and different show with new and different exhibitors will return Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Hodges Park from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Kalo Foundation presents a program for children in Grades 3-5 designed to help them explore the story of their home. ----- Stories and drawings by the children will be published and celebrated at a reception June 2 at Iannelli Studios Heritage Center. ---- A donation of $5 is suggested.
