Parade Route: Talcott/Cumberland north to Prairie, to Main, to Park Ridge City Hall, 505 Butler Place, Park Ridge IL

The event is geared for adults and kids (educational program). Kosher is so much a part of our lives, but how much do we know about it? --- TJV Memorial Day Edition: Kosher Pickle Making Workshop. -- *Experience the joy of making Kosher pickles --*Take home your own home made Kosher Dill Pickles -- *Find out what makes a pickle Kosher -- *Learn more what Kosher is all about -- Suggested Donation $10 -- The event is geared for adults and kids.

A member of Illinois State Senator Laura Murphy's office will be at the Library from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. today. They will be situated in a study room on the 2nd floor. A member of this office is usually at the Park Ridge Public Library on the fourth Thursday of the following months to meet with constituents: Feb., March, May, June, Aug., Sept., Nov., & Dec.. Occasionally, Senator Murphy will be in attendance to answer constituent’s questions. Please phone ahead.

A Genealogy Workshop, sponsored by the Twenty-first Star Chapter, DAR, will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until Noon. The workshop will be held in the third-floor meeting room of the Park Ridge Library, located at 20 S. Prospect Avenue. -- Attendees will have the opportunity to work with one of the members on our lineage research team and receive assistance with application papers. -- This drop in workshop is ONLY for WOMEN interested in joining the DAR.

American Cancer Society 6-hour family, community fundraiser. MAINE WEST HIGH SCHOOL-SOFTBALL FIELD at 1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines, IL from Noon to 6pm --- Relay For Life is a unique 12 hour family-oriented community fundraising event. --- Some of the highlights of our Relay include a survivor/family reception, survivor and caregiver recognition and a luminaria ceremony, in which we honor and remember those who have battled this disease.--- Admission to our event is free!
