The Park Ridge Art League presents “Continuing the Tradition 3” an art exhibit and sale from September 5th through October 25th at the Iannelli Studios Heritage Center, 255 N. Northwest Hwy, Park Ridge. The exhibition is free and will be open Saturdays 10-3:00 and Sundays 1-4:00. A public reception is scheduled for September 13th to meet the artists from 1-4:00 p.m.

The Marvelous Methodist Players of First UMC Park Ridge are presenting the madcap comedy "Suite Surrender" (rated PG-13 for some mild language) Written by Michael McKeever, it is produced by special arrangement with Playscripts, Inc. (www.playscripts.com). ---- Show dates are: Friday, September 18, Saturday, Sept 19 and Sunday, Sept 20. Show times are 7:00pm on Friday and Saturday, and 1:30pm on Sunday. United Methodist Women will host a light lunch at 11:45am, before the Sunday matinee.

The Park Ridge Toastmasters club has been in Park Ridge since June 9, 1949, meeting in the same location at the United Methodist Church, 418 West Touhy. We meet on the first floor and love to have guests visit our club. --- We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from January through October. Due to the Holidays we meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month in November and December.

The Farmer's Market will be held every Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. from May 23 to October 31, 2015 AT: Prairie and Garden, which is at just south of the Metra train tracks and Touhy, and east of Cumberland Avenues.

Drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter drugs safely and anonymously at the Park Ridge Police Station, 200 S. Vine, Park Ridge, on Saturday, September 26, 2015 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm ------ Keep the label on the container with the medication name visible but cross out your personal information with a pen and/or marker. Protect our water supply and prevent drug abuse by safely disposing of your medications in this manner.

Kicking off its 22nd year with a Gershwin Tea, pianist Kent Wehman plays the master’s greatest hits on September 26th at Café la Cave, Des Plaines joined by jazz singer Sarah Young.
