St. Mary's Episcopal Church is presenting five programs on "Hands-On Sustainability: What Can You Do Today to Effect Change?" At 7:30 pm on September 19, October 2, October 10, October 17 and October 24. Information regarding home energy efficiency, organic lawn care, green interior design, composting, and recycling to reduce our carbon footprints. Child care available. Dr. Ira Dubrow from Advocate Lutheran General Hospital will discuss Congenital Heart Disease on Thursday, October 4th at 11 am at the Park Ridge Senior Center.

The Park Ridge Health Care Forum will host monthly presentations and discussions on the first Thursday of each month at 11:00 a.m. at the Park Ridge Senior Center. The Health Care Forum is collaborative group of health and wellness professionals and community partners working to bring health education to the community. Catch the Spirit on Saturday, October 6 when the Park Ridge Community Center is FREE all day long on the last day of our Spirit Week Celebration! Shoot some hoops, walk or run our track, warm-up in our sauna, water walk or swim laps. Hook up your i-pod to our new cardio equipment, or try our new state of the art strength equipment. If that’s not your game, play some racquetball. Come in and give us a try!

Enjoy free access to the Community Center all day on October 6. From the pool, to the athletic courts, to the fitness center - try them all!
