Help support Avenues to Independence by attending the 9th Annual Spotlight on Wine on October 3 from 6-9 pm at the National Hellenic Museum in Chicago. $85 per person. Valet parking is available. Proceeds from the Spotlight on Wine will help expand Avenue's computer program and provide access to computers and training for our 75 residents; increasing their quality of life at home and at work.

The Park Ridge Fire Department will host its annual Open House on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from Noon until 4:00 p.m. at Fire Station #36 located on the northwest corner of Greenwood and Oakton -- 1000 N. Greenwood Ave. in Park Ridge. --- This event provides a unique opportunity to not only meet and greet fire personnel, but also have the opportunity to investigate fire apparatus.
