The Park Ridge History Center will host an open house on Sunday, September 30 from 1-3pm in historic Prospect Park, 721 N. Prospect Avenue. The Center celebrates the people, places and events of Park Ridge with exhibits and artifacts.

The Niles All American Speakers are charter members of Toastmasters International, a club devoted to the refinement of speech, our mission is to make better speakers of everyone.

Do you want to become a better speaker/leader? Then the Toastmasters can help you! "Become the Speaker/Leader you were Meant to be!" -- Des Plaines Toastmasters 1645 meets on 1st & 3rd Mondays in Room A or B at Des Plaines Public Library, 1501 Ellinwood Ave, Des Plaines, IL -- FREE -- Upcoming meetings are: Feb 5; Mar 19; April 2 & 16, May 7 & 21.

The local environmental action group Go Green Park Ridge holds its monthly meeting from 7PM to 8:30PM on the 1st Tuesday of the month from September through June at St Mary's Episcopal Church on Prospect. ----- Join other members of Go Green Park Ridge and help raise awareness of environmental issues in our town. We do NOT meet formally in July or August but can often be found at the Park Ridge Farmers Markets during the summer or at Green Drinks on the third Tuesday of each month

Dine to Donate on Wednesday, October 3 at Make Room for Truman, when 20 percent of food purchases will benefit the Park Ridge Community Fund, which grants funds to non-profits that serve residents of Park Ridge.

Live on stage at First UMC: "An Unspeakable Triumph Of Supreme Brilliance." Three performances: Friday and Saturday, Oct. 5 and 6th at 7pm and Sunday, Oct. 7th at 1pm. --- The show is rated PG. Tickets are $10 at the door, or call our office to reserve seats.
