‘Sail’ on over to the Oakton Ice Arena and ‘Discover’ a day of fun on the ice with our Columbus Day Showcase!

St. Mary's Episcopal Church is presenting five programs on "Hands-On Sustainability: What Can You Do Today to Effect Change?" At 7:30 pm on September 19, October 2, October 10, October 17 and October 24. Information regarding home energy efficiency, organic lawn care, green interior design, composting, and recycling to reduce our carbon footprints. Child care available. PR Presbyterian Church will host a 2600 Sq. Ft. Rummage Sale from 9am-6pm on Thursday, Oct 11th at 1300 W. Crescent Ave. Admission is free. Don't miss the $5 Bag Sale and 1/2 Price Sale from 4 to 6pm. Two large rooms including clothes, household items and decor, small appliances, fabrics, toys and sporting goods, books, DVD's and CD's, jewelry, collectibles, and baby items, as well as a "BETTER STUFF" department of upscale merchandise, new and gently used. Proceeds to local charities.

Fall fashions & appletini's to celebrate who we have been, who we are now and what we can be.

During this family event, we will carve pumpkins, stuff a scarecrow, jump on a hayride, and enjoy S’mores and apple cider or cocoa around a campfire. A pumpkin and scarecrow judging contest will also take place.

The Farmer's Market will be held every Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. from May 26 to October 27, 2012 AT: Prairie and Garden, which is at just south of the Metra train tracks and Touhy, and east of Cumberland Avenues.
