January 20, 2017 is the LAST DAY Park Ridge Public Works (400 Busse Highway) will be collecting WHITE block styrofoam to be recycled. Drop it off between 7am and 3pm and help reduce our community's carbon footprint and keep styrofoam out of landfills. Styrofoam takes 20,000 years to biodegrade. Sorry NO food/beverage containers; NO straws, lids, plastic wrap; NO packing peanuts; NO building insulation/foam of any kind. Questions? Call Mike at 847-318-5243

Celebrate the holidays with your little ones at our Christmas Kindermusik playdate!

St. Luke's Lutheran Church at 205 N. Prospect Ave.is hosting Yoga classes every Tuesday eve. at 7:00 p.m. -8:15 p.m. and Thursday mid morning from 11:00 a.m.-12:15 p.m. The instructor is Dawn Christiansen and she is a 200 hour Certified Yoga Instructor. A $5.00 donation per class goes directly to St. Luke's for their debt reduction program. Come and enjoy a nice relaxing class. All are Welcome!

The purpose of this group is to encourage members to write and provide a safe place to read one’s work and get some feedback. We meet the second Tuesday of every month.

Tonight is the introductory meeting for the Park Ridge Police Community Advisory Board (CAB) -- All citizens are invited to attend this Community-Police Town Hall meeting to introduce the Police Community Advisory Board model and to serve as a listening session to understand the community's needs, concerns and questions.

The autumn Line Dancing Lesson students wish to share their last class of the season with you and celebrate the holidays. Bring a dish to share if you wish. There will be dancing and impromptu lessons. Variety of music, some dance exhibitions. Attire is casual. If you choose to dance, have comfortable shoes with a little slide to them. You won't want to miss our special guest country band, Smokin' Gunz! Free

The Twenty-first Star Chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution will hold a meeting on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, at the Park Ridge Country Club, 636 N. Prospect Avenue in Park Ridge at 11:30 a.m. A luncheon will be served at 12:00 p.m. with a meeting and program to follow. Hostesses for the day are: Elaine Battaglia, Nancy Ruscitti, Julia Trelease, and Gene Andersen, Chairman.

Join the Park Ridge Chamber's Young Professionals Group for an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party!

The Park Ridge Toastmasters club has been in Park Ridge since June 9, 1949, meeting in the same location at the United Methodist Church, 418 West Touhy. We meet on the first floor and love to have guests visit our club. --- We meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from January through October. Due to the Holidays we meet on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month in November and December.
