Sunday, September 15, 2013 AND Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am The Center of Concern is sponsoring this gathering of collector car enthusiasts to promote intergenerational activity for seniors and young adults in the central parking lot next to the Park Ridge Public Library (20 S. Prospect Avenue, Park Ridge, IL ).

The pumpkins are coming! Hundreds of pumpkins, gourds and other seasonal items will be on display and available for sale at the 10th annual Youth Pumpkin Patch from October 19-31 at Park Ridge Community Church, on the lawn at the corner of Prospect & Crescent Avenue in the heart of Park Ridge. Hours: weekdays 3:30-7pm, Saturday 9am-7pm, Sunday 11am-7pm. Also featuring live musical entertainment and showings of classic movies -- something for all ages!

Brickton Art Center celebrates Halloween with Boo-Tastic Bash this October! --- Kids looking for a chance to try out their Halloween costume a few days early should make plans to attend the 2nd annual Halloween Brickton Art Center’s Boo-tastic Bash on Sunday, October 20th at the South Park Recreation Center in Park Ridge, 833 Talcott Avenue, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The 22nd annual Niles/Park Ridge CROP Walk for Charity will take place Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 1:30 to 5:00 pm at the churches listed below. CROP stands for Communities Reaching Out to People. CROP Walks are community fundraising events organized by Church World Services. This annual pledge march against world hunger is a fundraiser for Church World Service and our own Maine Township Food Pantry.

If you have CLEAN, gently worn coats that your family is no longer using and would like to help someone in need from our community, please take them to any of the three police departments between October 11, 2013 and November 16, 2013 --- Park Ridge Police Department, Niles Police Department, and Des Plaines Police Department --- the departments are open 24 hours a day. Nutrition and healthy skincare are important to adults of all ages. This program is presented by The Center of Concern and Presence Health.

A member of Illinois State Senator Dan Kotowski's office will be at the Library from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. today. BUT NOT IN SEPTEMBER 2013.

Drop off expired, unused or unwanted prescription and over-the-counter drugs at the Park Ridge Police Station, 200 S. Vine, Park Ridge, on Saturday, October 26 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 26th.

Join us in your costume for a ghostly good time at our Halloween Party at Maine Park Leisure Center. Play ghoulish games, enjoy face painting, and watch It’s the Great Pumpkin,Charlie Brown. The party ends with a costume parade for our families.
