Kalo Kicks Off 2nd Annual Scarecrow Decorating Contest

August 27, 2014 10:15 AM

Love decorating for Halloween? Then join the Kalo Foundation as it sponsors its second annual scarecrow decorating contest and help put a Halloween face on Park Ridge!

Both groups and individuals are invited to participate. All entries, which will be judged by residents of The Summit of Uptown, will be displayed during Homegrown Horrorfest at the Iannelli Studio on Sunday, October 26, at 2:00 p.m. Prizes will be awarded to the winning entries.

You can stop at the Iannelli Studio, 255 N. Northwest Highway, beginning Saturday, August 30 for a wooden form that can be dressed, decorated, and transformed into your unique creation. A donation of $10 for each form will benefit ongoing restoration efforts at IHSC.

Call Judy Bacon at 847-975-6776 for more information, or to arrange to pick up forms.

The contest is sponsored by the Summit of Uptown. For more information about the contest, The Kalo Foundation of Park Ridge, or the Iannelli Studios Heritage Center, visit their website at www.kalofoundation.org or call 847-261-4595.
