Local Opportunities for Volunteers Available


Do you love to serve? Volunteers for a variety of positions are needed all over the northwest suburbs, including in Park Ridge. HandsOn Suburban Chicago provides a comprehensive resource for volunteers of all ages, including youth volunteers and those with special skills.


Currently there is one position available in Park Ridge:

Surgery Lounge


Advocate Lutheran General Hospital http://www.advocatehealth.com/luth

Greet and register family members. Provide family members with general hospital information. Offer and issue pagers to family members. Liaison for family members, hospital staff, and physicians. Track and monitor patient through surgery process and communicate updates to family members. Provide coffee and tea for waiting family members. Maintain a clean and safe environment. Volunteers age 18 and over.


Volunteers must be 21 and over. Both opportunities are through the Center of Concern, www.centerofconcern.org.
