Police Departments Sponsor "Prom Possible" Event

Prom is an memorable event for most high school girls. Unfortunately, some girls are not able to purchase a dress and have limited options.

The Park Ridge Police Department, in partnership with the Des Plaines and Niles Police Departments, is proud to announce the Fashion Police: Prom Possible Event.   All of the departments will be collecting dresses through the month of March in an effort to provide needy girls with dresses for the big event.

If you have formal prom gowns, brides maids’ dresses or accessories that you are no longer using, this is a great way to clear out closet space or your store’s inventory for a good cause! Donations will be going to high school girls residing in Park Ridge, Des Plaines or Niles, and who need assistance to make their prom dream possible.

Please drop off your gently used and cleaned dresses or accessories at the Park Ridge, Des Plaines, or Niles Police Department lobbies, which are open 24 hours a day.

The dresses will be distributed at the Niles Senior Center, 999 Civic Center Drive, Niles, IL on April 6, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Participants must show proof of residency or high school ID from a high school located in Park Ridge, Des Plaines, or Niles.
