Preparing for the November 4 Gubernatorial Election

September 15, 2014 01:35 PM

The Cook County Clerk’s Office offers voters a wealth of useful information in preparation for the upcoming election.  On the Cook County Clerk’s website, www.cookcountyclerk.com, voters can verify their registration status, find their polling location, view a sample ballot, or download a Vote by Mail application.

In order to be eligible to vote in the upcoming election, you must be a registered voter.  If you are not registered, you must complete your registration before October 7.  Registration can be done at the City Clerk’s office in City Hall during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.) and by presenting two forms of acceptable identification.  Another option is to download a Voter Registration Application from the Cook County Clerk’s website and return it to the Cook County Clerk’s Office before the October 7 deadline.

Vote by Mail applications can be obtained online or at Park Ridge City Hall.  Applications must be returned to the Cook County Clerk’s Office by October 30.  Ballots will begin to be sent out on September 25 which must be returned to the Cook County Clerk’s Office and postmarked by November 3

Park Ridge City Hall is once again designated as an Early Voting site. Early Voting starts on October 20 and ends on November 2.  Hours are Monday through Saturday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Please contact City Clerk Henneman at (847)318-5204 or Deputy Clerk Peterson at (847)318-5464 if you have any questions.
