Volunteers Sought to Serve on Various City Boards and Commissions

March 6, 2014 01:24 PM
Board and Commission members are the backbone of the City, and Park Ridge could not function without their help.

Have you considered serving your community this way? Interested residents are encouraged to complete an Application Form for Board, Commission, Committee, or Task Force , available in the lobby area at City Hall or on the City’s website at www.parkridge.us.   Return your completed application to Deputy City Clerk Peterson in person at City Hall or email your application to cpeterso@parkridge.us.

Several upcoming commission openings will be available, including the Community Health Commission (3), Historic Preservation (1), Fair Housing (3), Animal (1), and Library Board (3). Once your application is received, you’ll be contacted to arrange a brief interview with the Mayor’s Advisory Board, at which time they will decide on their recommendations to the Mayor. The Board is chaired by Alderman Marty Maloney and includes Aldermen Daniel Knight, Marc Mazzuca, and Nicholas Milissis.
